A decent 7 furlong group 2 on the card and this looks a decent renewal. A field of 9 line up and most have solid group form but there is one who is lightly raced that I think could heavily benefit from this trip.
Mustashry (7/2 Bet365) is a progressive Stoute horse. His form is the best recent form on offer and if he copes with the drop in trip, he’s the one to beat. He’s previously travelled like he could wouldn’t be inconvenienced by 7 furlongs and he’s the most likely winner to me.

The St Ledger is the final classic of the season and as ever it looks very competitive. The market has changed quite considerably over the last few months and there is a new favourite in the shape of the hugely progressive Lah Ti Dar.
However, I’m sticking to my guns here backing the long term favourite Kew Gardens (7/2 Bet365). He was impressive at Royal Ascot and went on to better that in France when winning a group one. It’s worth noting he’s the only group one winner in the field and he will be a vastly different horse from the one we seen at York. As long as there is no significant rain he is the one to beat here.

The Irish Champion stakes is generally one of the races of the season and this looks no different. Roaring Lion was hugely impressive last time at York, but that was his optimum conditions and it’s possible it will be harder without home advantage.
Saxon Warrior (9/4 Betfair)has disappointed. He was meant to be a superstar, however since winning the Guineas he’s looked almost ordinary. His stable had been under a cloud which looks like it’s passed and I feel at the prices he’s worth one last chance.
