Derek McIness’ men started their season back in early July after qualifying for the Europa League, they progressed to the Third Qualifying Round before narrowly losing 2-1 on aggregate to Maribor.
Their league campaign has started with a win against Partick, two draws with St Johnstone and Hearts before losing last weekend 4-1 to Celtic. That score line flattered Celtic as the Dons were right in it till a late sending off.
Inverness have had a massive turnaround in personnel in the summer including losing manager John Hughes. New boss Ritchie Foran has had a tough start to his managerial career.
The Caley Jags won a straightforward League Cup group but lost 1-0 to League 1 side Alloa in the 2nd round. On top of this they lost their first three league games of the season before finally winning last time out against St Johnstone 2-1 at home. I fully expect Aberdeen to use their home advantage and heap more misery on Inverness, it could be a long hard season for the new look side.
