Chelsea’s calamitous campaign continued at the weekend as the Blues were beaten 3-1 by Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
Jose Mourinho looked like a man in desperate need of a hug – or possibly just a win – cutting a disconsolate figure as yet another post-mortem was required in west London.
Fortunately for Jose, that elusive victory looks to be just around the corner as Chelsea play host to Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Chelsea have a strong home record in this competition, having lost just two of their last 13 Champions League matches at Stamford Bridge.
Their last five wins at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League have been by, at least, a two-goal margin and Mourinho’s men can give their beleaguered boss something to smile about by keeping that trend going on Wednesday night.
